Strawberry Watermelon Slushie

The heat wave this week CRUSHED me - and my appetite. Well, that’s not entirely true - I always have an appetite, but not for like…chewing food if that makes sense. My palate shifts to craving more fruit, more no-cook options, etc. And this is also what I hear from my clients. The last thing they want to do is eat a bunch of heavy food when it’s 100 degrees out - they want refreshing. So…I want to share with you the watermelon strawberry slushie that became a regular afternoon treat for me every day during the heat wave we just had.

This is very much - just a snack. This isn’t meant to be protein forward (although I did make a version where I added Isopure infusions Berry protein to it and it was also delicious and added 20g of protein if you want to give that a shot too!)

This is for one serving, but you can double/triple/infinity this recipe if you are making it for a group!

Ingredients:

  • 240g seedless watermelon

  • 145g frozen whole strawberries

  • spritz of fresh lime juice

  • 2-ishT fat free whipped cream

Instructions:

  • I put the chopped watermelon in the freezer for about 30-40 minutes before I made it just to chill them a bit

  • Add the watermelon, frozen strawberries & spritz of lime to the blender…and blend lol.

  • Top with whipped cream.

  • DONE. (see? simple, delicious…and tastes UHHHHMAZING)
